To give you an overview of employment within the local council sector and how employees should be managed.

This session is designed to get you thinking about the role of the council as an employer and the implications of this. Although there it is packed with plenty of information to take away with you, there is plenty of time in the session allocated to address the employment issues that are relevant to you. Topics include useful resources, the employment framework, the employment relationship, conditions for a successful employment relationship in a local council.
