This seminar will help you understand how a Neighbourhood Plan can guide the future development, regeneration and conservation of your area. We will consider common issues and concerns that arise as well examine the advantages of making a Neighbourhood Plan and explain the funding options available to assist with the costs.

This seminar will help you understand how a Neighbourhood Plan can guide the future development, regeneration and conservation of your area. We will consider common issues and concerns that arise as well examine the advantages of making a Neighbourhood Plan and explain the funding options available to assist with the costs.

Seminar Benefits:

By the end of the seminar, you will:

  • Understand the process required to create and submit a Neighbourhood Plan
  • Know and understand the legal implications of the recent updates to the planning system and how it relates to Neighbourhood Planning
  • Understand how developers work with both the Local Plan and Neighbourhood Plans
  • Appreciate how a Neighbourhood Plan works in practice by listening to the experience of a Parish Council who have a made Plan
  • Realise the intricacies of the process required to bring a Neighbourhood Plan forward using the experience of a Parish Council who have just passed the examination
  • Understand the latest Government thinking in relation to Neighbourhood Plans and available funding (from Locality or MHCLG to be confirmed)
  • Be able to make an informed decision about whether a Neighbourhood Plan is right for their community
