National Improvement Strategy

The National Training Strategy (NTS) for Parish and Town Councils was formed in 2001 to look at the standards in training development and to work to bring the sector to a high level within local government.
In 2010 the strategy was reviewed with a new five year vision produced for the sector. This revised 2010 NTS firstly makes proposals for the next few years to meet the challenges ahead and, secondly informs the reader of the journey the NTS has taken since its beginnings in 2001 whilst celebrating its considerable successes.

The Strategy now has a broader remit and is known as the National Improvement Strategy.  Full details, and the current strategy, can be accessed here: http://www.nalc.gov.uk/our-work/improvement-and-development/national-training-strategy
