Marketing Opportunities

Provide a product or service that is relevant to the parish and town council sector?
Why not market it through the Hampshire Association of Local Councils? 
 
The Hampshire Association of Local Councils (Hampshire ALC) is a member-owned association acting as a support organisation and representative body for parish and town councils of Hampshire. The ALC currently has 242 member councils, which means that in our database we have the contact details for 93% of the local councils in the county. We also have strong links with other key organisations across Hampshire who receive our communications and attend our events.
 
With Localism high on the agenda, local councils are looking for partners to assist them in providing services to their communities. We are in a great position to help you promote your organisation to them.

Attend one of our events

The ALC runs a number of events each year that we invite organisations to be a part of.  We have the following events coming up.  If you would like to exhibit at an event please contact Sue Ramage.

As an exhibitor you can expect the following:

  • A standard size exhibition stand.

  • Your organisation’s logo and your company biography in the exhibitor's booklet, which is sent to every delegate.

  • An electronic list of delegates and their email addresses following the event (subject to delegates’ consent).

Advertise in the ALC e-update

Our monthly newsletter the 'ALC e-update' is emailed to member councils on the first Friday of each month (except August and December). We are giving organisations the opportunity to utilise this and get their message across to local councils. The opportunities available are:

  • A one-off  A4 full-colour advert in any monthly edition of our electronic newsletter costs £80 and the cost for half-page (A4 portrait) is set at £50.

  • Annual sponsorship (i.e. 10 ALC e-updates) £200 per annum.  This entitles you to place a half-page full-colour advert in the each month's ‘Suppliers’ section of the newsletter.

Advertise in the ALC Annual Review

Our Annual Review with a readership consisting of Hampshire Parish Councillors, Development Partners, County Councillors, Hampshire MP's, all Leaders and Chief Executives of District and Borough Councils, Chief Executive of Isle of Wight Local Government Association, leaders of National Association of Local Councils and other County Associations.

The cost to place a full colour, full page advert (21 x 21 cm) advert in our Annual Review is £250 plus VAT.  Please contact Sue Ramage for further details. 

Advertise in the ALC Service Booklet

The ALC produces a 'service booklet' every two years which outlines what we do and the benefits of membership to member and non-member councils across Hampshire. Every council and parish meeting receives enough copies to distribute to each of it's councillors.  In addition, senior Hampshire County Council officials and a member of each District Council shall also receive a copy.  Due to its wide distribution, we offer organisations the opportunity to place an advertisement in this publication for £200 plus VAT. Let us send a mailshot on your behalf

The ALC is happy to send electronic or paper mailshots on your organisation's behalf.  Just supply us with the advertising material and using our member database we will ensure that your marketing material reaches the right person.

  • Electronic - £50

  • Paper - £100 per mailshot. If the ALC is not sending out our own material by post at the same time, we will also ask you to cover the costs of the postage, envelopes and labels

We are always pleased to offer discounts on the rates advertised for voluntary and community organisations. We are also happy to negotiate discounts on bulk ordering.
