(Interim) Chief Executive: Dawn Hamblet
The Chief Executive is responsible to Hampshire ALC's elected County Directors for the operational management and day to day leadership of the Association. Dawn's ongoing goals are:
- To provide the services, information and support that Hampshire's local councils require to carry out their statutory role
- To ensure that Hampshire ALC is a well run and financially sustainable social business.
- To work with Hampshire County Council and other appropriate partners to support and achieve the above two aims.
Company Secretary: Vendy Treagust
The role of the Company Secretary in Hampshire ALC is to support the board in decision making and to ensure appropriate governance.
Member Support Officer: Vendy Treagust
(BA (Hons) Community Engagement and Governance)
The Member Support Officer is member council's primary contact and is responsible for running the desktop advisory service in liaison with specialist advisors when necessary.
HR and Employment Officer: Sharon Nineham
Sharon is an HR Professional with over 20 year’s experiencein a variety of senior HR roles in both public and private sector organisations. She has been working with the LCPD since 2017 and gained a lot of knowledge and experience of the sector during this time. She runs her own HR Consultancy working with a variety of organisations.
Sharon holds a degree in Hotel and Tourism Management and is a Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (the Human Resources professional body in the UK). She has a lot of experience in operational and strategic HR including Employee Relations and Employment Law. Sharon now heads up the LCPD service on behalf of HALC.
Learning and Development: Jon Brown
Jon worked in democratic services and elections in a number of local authorities between 1990 and 2015. His post at HALC involves responsibility for managing the training and events service. This includes identifying training and development needs as well as planning, organising and delivering/overseeing appropriate training. In addition to his post at HALC, Jon works as a Lecturer with the Open University, teaching on social science modules.
Business Support Officer: Sue Ramage
The Business Support Officer supports the day to day running of the organisation. She is responsible for the planning, organisation and administration of training sessions and events throughout the year. Sue also supports Dawn and the County Board of Directors.
Policy Officer: Amy Taylor
Amy Taylor, is our Policy Officer. She has been a Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer, within Hampshire for 9 years, so she has plently of experience in the local government sector. Amy also holds the holds the CiLCA qualification. Within this role, Amy is responsible for developing HALC’s policy positions ensuring the organisation remains coherent within its aims. Amy is also the responsible Freedom of Information Officer will design a training session to allow our members to develop their knowledge and confidence when handling a Freedom of Information Request and provide the necessary support.
