£8500 to £9500 pa (inc in lieu of pension payment); plus £312pa working from home allowance
Hours:
10 hours per week
Our council and the role:
Burley Parish Council has 6 Councillors and a Parish Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer.
Duties will include:
- Administer the affairs of the Council, preparing agendas, publishing minutes of meetings. Ensure all relevant policies are adhered to by the Council e.g. standing orders, current legislation and best practise.
- Maintain the Council website and write a monthly report for the village magazine.
- Prepare with the Finance sub committee, the annual budget and report performance against budget: maintain the Council’s financial records.
- Make payments as authorised by the Council.
- Liaise with the internal auditor and prepare the Annual Governance and Review (AGAR).
The ideal candidate will have/be:
A calm and friendly attitude, numeracy & writing skills and organisational skills
