Employment Update - Changes to Tribunal Fees

As many of you will have seen in the press there has been a Supreme Court ruling recently regarding fees for Tribunal claims. 

The fees were originally introduced in July 2013 by the Government in order to reduce the number of claims being submitted, as they believed the Tribunal system was severely stretched by the ever increasing workload.  Fees were tiered, with an average unfair dismissal claim requiring just over £1,200 to be paid by the claimant (ex-employee) prior to the case being heard.  Prior to...
